Spending time with God's Word breathes new life into us. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. "By faithfully and regularly spending time reading and meditating on God's message for us, God's will by His Word becomes embedded in us. By God's grace alone, it calms us when we are troubled, encourages us when we despair or are lost, and reaffirms God's everlasting love for us. We can know that no matter what troubles we may face in our lives, whatever changes may come, that God's Holy Word will never fail us. As Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever."

While God speaks to us individually and corporately in a variety of ways, scripture is an important avenue. For as Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh." Here you will find articles on Christian living and other topics in conversation with scripture.

ABOUT

As children of God, we are called to practically and faithfully live our faith out in the world. More than that, we are to do so with "compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12-14)." In the midst of cultural and societal strife and challenges, this blog desires to be but one way of speaking life into the world.
